Our History

By the late 1990s we implemented the first laser proof housings for engine builder SITEC Industrietechnologie GmbH in Chemnitz which today is an established manufacturer of laser machining systems. We soon realised that the field of laser protection was making completely new demands on our engineers and technicians.

Especially the long standing and close cooperation with the Hochschule Mittweida and particularly the Laserinstitut Mittelsachsen enabled our company to become a competent business partner in the field of laser protection enclosures for subsequent years.

Today, two European patents as well as two utility models regarding appliances for protection against laser radiation illustrate the innovative capacity of ANTARES GmbH. Furthermore, our status as a prime supplier for TRUMPF Laser- und Systemtechnik GmbH in Ditzingen also demonstrates the expertise and capability of our Saxonian company.

since 1994	delivering design engineering services for Saxonian engine building companies predominantly in the field of machine enclosures employing 8 design engineers
1999	development of a laser protection mechanism for one of the first laser machines of SITEC GmbH Chemnitz
2000	Initial certification according to ISO 9001 implementation of quality control
2001	started installation of an in-house production
2005	relocation to our own company building in Hartmannsdorf
since 2005	development partnership with high-tech company TRUMPF supplier of laser safety housings for TRUMPF
2008	construction of a second production hall at the Hartmannsdorf location
2010	purchase of sheet metal forming equipment (2D-Laser system, mechanical press brake)
since 2013	partner of Das Fertigungsnetzwerk
2014	construction of an additional storehouse
2018	new Storehouse annex for shipping and loading
2019	purchase of a modern 3kw fiber laser welding system
2022	construction of a storehouse for sheet metal production
